August 15 - August 21 Horoscope
Hey divalicious divas! So this week is Post Full Moon Week & honestly — I’m pooped. Idk about you, but my energy is DOWN! But this is normal. In mundane astrology (the astrology of societies), the Moon represents the collective — and since the moon is now waning, the collective energy source is getting less and less intense. With the waning Moon, I think it is an excellent time for us to consider the steps we need to take to embrace the new sense of accountability we tapped into last week. The lack of energy doesn’t mean that we can’t take action or we shouldn’t take action. I want us to be realistic with ourselves — it is okay to take breaks if we aren’t feeling it, but don’t lose progress. Slow and steady wins the race — so if you’re feeling the lethargic vibes like I am — go about things in bite-sized chunks.
Now, we have a few exciting transits coming up at the end of this week. On August 20th, Mars ingresses (ingress is the fancy jargon for moves into) the sign of Gemini. THIS NEXT PART IS IMPORTANT — SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Later this year, Mars will be going retrograde in Gemini. It’s not happening until October 30th, but we want to be aware of this so we can make the most of Mars’ energy beforehand. Mars retrograde isn’t anything to freak out or worry about, by the way. I bring it up, so it’s on your radar. To appreciate the several months that Mars will be in Gemini, I recommend leaning into the Gemini way. Mars is that raw, carnal, inner passion and desire within all of us, and Gemini is the free-flowing learner/communicator. We will start being called and encouraged to lean into embracing the free-flowing nature of the world around us. Use this week to think about…
1. New opportunities you want to take
2. Ways to spice up your day to day
3. Areas of life you want to explore
4. Plans to enhance your skills or refine the way you go about your desires
This week is about starting to create the success framework that will help make our Mars Retrograde easier. I’m not spilling the tea in that JUST YET. All I want you to focus on is thinking and planning this week. What will it take to start exploring what works best for you, even if it isn’t something you do right now? It’s like that saying: keep throwing stuff at the wall until something sticks (I think that’s the quote, but you get the gist). That’s the upcoming Mars in Gemini energy — explore what’s the best way for you to function on a day-to-day level, even if it means doing something new.
At the end of this week, we also enter (cue spooky music) MERCURY RETROGRADES SHADOW. At this point, I know you are a Mercury Rx expert and aren’t scared in the slightest by these (even though I tried my hardest with the mood music, haha). That said, just know that another Mercury Rx is on its way, so get prepared to start being methodical with our actions. Yes, Mars in Gemini contradicts the need to be slow with an upcoming Mercury Rx — but we still have a couple of weeks before that overlaps. So here is what I recommend, Mars in Gemini wants us to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks in rapid and free-flowing succession. Then go back with your fine-toothed comb at why things are sticking and why things aren’t. You should never stop your progress forward — life doesn’t stop just because a retrograde is coming or is currently here. However, when those moments are on the horizon, it is time to focus more on why certain actions don’t work. That way, we can create more stable frameworks that work so our life doesn’t go topsy turvy during the retrograde season.
Okay, my love, that’s all I got for you. Unfortunately, the Full Moon wiped me out, so I just did not get to writing this until late — but you live and learn. Now I know better and will prepare horoscopes the week BEFORE a Full Moon.
Expect sign by sign horoscopes next week, and by that time, Mars will be in Gemini & we will be in the Mercury Rx shadow, so there’ll be more tea to spill truthfully.
Love you much! Stay fabulous, chickadee.
