August 8 - August 14 Horoscope

It’s SWEEPS WEEK – so get your journals out and start tracking everything you’re watching!

Jk – it is a Full Moon week, so let’s dive into that. The Full Moon will be in the sign of Aquarius on Thursday at around 9:30 PM EST.

If the moon is emotional & the moon is brightest when the moon is full, that means… hidden emotions can reveal themselves! The Full Moon is when our subconscious needs are uncovered; we pursue security, the time when we can let go of stuff, etc. If New Moons are manifesting, Full Moons are the cleansing Moons.

Let’s quickly list all of the standard things I expect out of y’all – remember that these are very common things you can do during any Full Moon.

  • Reflecting on what you are holding onto that no longer serves you

  • Cleanse crystals, tarot cards, your home, etc.

  • Do some energy release – breath, work, exercise, dance, etc.

  • Accept the baggage you’re carrying and start to let it go.

Now let’s dive into some nuanced things I recommend based on what the rest of the sky is doing. This Full Moon is happening in a pretty close orb to Saturn – a 3-degree applying orb, to be exact. An orb like this means that there is a collective push towards taking responsibility for our actions and making a game plan for change. Saturn is all about saying, “hey babe – let’s stop acting a fool and start applying ourselves – mmk?” Saturn is that friend that gets annoyed when you complain and says, “well, if you know there is a problem, why don’t you fix it?” The tone of the Full Moon is really about trying to understand where you have potentially failed to take action for the things you know you need to change in your life. From there, we tap into Aquarian energy (because the Moon & Saturn are in Aquarius) to say, " Okay, I do need to mix it up and look at the bigger pictures, " instead of hyperfixating on the little shit.

This week – Venus moves into Leo as well – so go out and throw ass and have fun. Yes, Full Moon weeks can be big emotional weeks – but that doesn’t mean we aren’t allowed to have fun! Furthermore – sometimes Full Moons aren’t as grandiose and extravagant moments as people might make them out to be. So, this week – take some time to reflect and better understand what you need to do. If you are coming up blank, that’s OKAY! Enjoy the Leo Venus energy and have some fun while the rest of us cry (jk but not really).

These weekly horoscopes will be Full Moon focused – so they’ll be a little more straightforward. TBH, though, I love making New/Full Moon content super simple because any Moon transit is a super quick transit – so let’s dive into it, diva.

Aries Rising

  • Hey Aries diva! So the Aquarius Full Moon will be a time for you to think about the role play in achieving your dreams & the dreams of those around you. I hope this doesn’t seem like a loaded question but ask yourself – “am I taking an active or passive role in achieving the things I want to achieve?” And then ask yourself, “how does my level of contribution help support those around me?” Be open to taking more responsibility for being the warrior I know you are! <3

Taurus Rising

  • Okay! So I am excited about this Full Moon for you because it is 10th House energy. 10th House is all about career & social reputation – so use this Full Moon as an opportunity to assess whether or now you are allowing yourself to accept the feedback you deserve. Feedback can be good or bad – but take time to understand how open you are to receiving criticism on how you are being received. From this reflection, I invite you to say, “Okay, if the way I want to be received isn’t aligned with how people receive me, then let me take accountability for making sure I am expressing expectations more clearly.” It’s just an invitation to say, “yes, I want to be viewed this way, and this is how I will make people see me that way.”

Gemini Rising

  • This week would be an excellent time to spend time with your belief systems. You might feel during the week that you have those “hmmm” moments where you ask yourself – is that really how I feel or what I believe? You could benefit from exploring the things you know to be fundamental truths for yourself and asking if they still serve you. This week, just allow yourself to be open to learning and growing – maybe read a book or listen to a new podcast! This week enables you to let go of any sort of mental blocks or ways of thinking that are holding you back to a new adventure.

Cancer Rising

  • During this week, it would benefit you to think about the connections your share with other people. Is anything holding you back from opening up and connecting deeper with others? Remember that all relationships are two-way streets, and the necessity to be open and accountable is very important to build intimate connections with others. This isn’t just like sexual intimacy but any sort of shared moment that brings two people together. Think about what you share with others & how that creates a sense of security or lack of safety – then use this information to establish more shared secure moments.

Leo Rising

  • So the word is “relationships” for you this week. You’ve been on a bit of a journey to assess what you need with your relationships. Use this week as an opportunity to think about what you need more from your relationships (personal, professional, etc.). Any sort of one on one interaction in your life should be assessed, and work towards finding a sense of balance with them. Remember the Saturnian influence telling you that relationships are a two-way street – and what you give is what you get & you can set boundaries when you aren’t receiving what you want.

Virgo Rising

  • Okay, so is this horoscope going to be me projecting what I need to do for myself onto all of my fellow Virgo Risings? Maybe. Just kidding! A Full Moon in the 6th house, however, is pretty chill, though – it is this opportunity to explore your health and habits. If this is a time when you have been feeling stagnant and stuck with your day-to-day life – ask yourself, “what is it that is making me feel stuck? Am I complacent in my desire to change? Am I too comfortable?” Take some time to say – am I getting in my way? Also, just to make a complete circle moment – go for that run or to the gym and stop eating all that junk food if you’re down on yourself. That last sentence was for me – but 6th house is health, so we all might be feeling this.

Libra Rising

  • Okay, so this week could be kind of slay boots for you. I sort of vibe with a 5th House Full Moon because it's like – just indulge and don’t feel bad about it. You probably realize more of what makes you happy, so allow yourself to take part in those things this week. Yes, the Saturn influence is saying, “but don’t forget to WORK,” and it might be time for you to find more balance between working hard and playing hard. My mom always says, “everything is fine in moderation,” so allow yourself to figure out how to best moderate the introduction of your new passions.

Scorpio Rising

  • I want you to take a moment for yourself this week. Make a conscious effort to spend time with yourself. I know as a Scorpio Rising, you know how to separate from the noise – but there is a difference between alone time and spending time with yourself. When the Full Moon is in the 4th House, it’s about realizing what you need on a deeper level. Prioritize yourself and what you need to feel as though you have enough room to express & find safety. This is a good week for you to sit back and reset if required.

Sagittarius Rising

  • Let’s just do a little organization this week – focus on the small tasks you might have been ignoring over the past few weeks. With Saturn & the Full Moon so close in your 3rd House, this is a two-fold conversation of “ahh yes – I forget to do that” and “it is now my problem to make sure that I don’t forget to do it again.” So make sure to reply to those text messages, communicate clearly, and double-check your calendar. This way – you will be allowed to have fun without worrying that you have forgotten something.

Capricorn Rising

  • Think about the way that we hold onto things during this week. It is natural for Capricorn energy to want to stay in their comfort zone – but has your comfort zone been preventing you from achieving growth? I don’t wanna come for you BUT sometimes you have to consider if your natural desire to be in control of your surrounding area pushes you towards complacency. In many ways, a Full Moon in your 2nd Houseallowsr you to have more moments to understand what you need to be secure, but don’t allow this to keep you from exploring new things.

Aquarius Rising

  • So the Full Moon is all about you this time! This Thursday is your one night a year where you can shine. If you have been craving attention or if you desire to take more spotlight opportunities, ask yourself what is stopping you from embracing your main character energy? I want you to say – am I happy with the person I am becoming? Have I been resistant to any new facets of myself that I’ve recently discovered? Being more comfortable with the self is the first step in order to be able to live in a world that celebrates you. YOU CAN DO IT! Take some time this week to look at yourself and get comfy with it.

Pisces Rising

  • This is a good week for you because with the Full Moon in your 12th House, and many unknown things become more known. This is a time to really enjoy your dreams and use them to understand how you can better balance your day-to-day actions with your spiritual actions. Spend this week doing some R&R – this will allow you to step back and assess what you need really need to synchronize your physical and metaphysical life. Naps, cups of tea, alone time, etc. You might feel a little moody but allow that moodiness to inspire you to see if you’ve been over-extending yourself and need to step away. 12th House transits are always tricky, but this one is about not getting in your own way and embracing that sometimes you need to step off the gas.
